JULESBURG -- The Sedgwick County Cougars and the Akron Rams met again in a rematch of last year's 8-Man State Championship.
Last year, the Cougars won big against the Rams, 36-6, and this year they came out looking to do it again.
First quarter Sedgwick County was all over Akron on offense, going to the air and ground for huge gains and eventually touchdowns.
At half, Sedgwick lead Akron 28-3 after a last minute field goal by the Rams.
Akron, a strong running team with three backs that have all recorded over a thousand yards this year, were unable to find holes and space.
After trailing the Cougars 41-3, the Rams altered their offensive game plan and took to the air. They connected for long toss and their only touchdown of the game to make it 41-11.
Sedgwick County, too dominant on both sides of the ball against Akron, took the 8-Man State Championship back-to-back against the same opponent 41-11.
