KUSA - Thanksgiving is a few days away and in the mountains, tourists from all over will be arriving looking for snow.
In Frisco, they don't want those tourists to be disappointed by what little has come down so far.
The Frisco Adventure Park is usually open for tubing by Thanksgiving, but not this year.
Even with recent snow, the warm and dry November has kept a lot of snow from sticking.
But crews have been able to make enough for a sledding hill, which will be open Wednesday so tourists can still have some fun on the snow.
"We know people are coming from Texas, New Mexico, and Kansas and Missouri and they want to be on snow this Thanksgiving," Vanessa Agee with Frisco Adventure Park said. "'So rather than throwing up our hands and giving up, we decided to blow snow and make a sledding hill that's free. You can use our tubes and get out there. We are thankful to mitigate any disappointment this Thanksgiving Day."
Frisco says their hope is to have their tubing hill open by early December. Until then, the sledding hill will be open and you can even bring your own sled if you want.
