SUMMIT COUNTY, COLO. - This summer-like fall is having an effect on ski season.
Keystone and Breckenridge Ski Resorts have postponed both resorts' opening days from Nov. 11 to indefinitely.
They say they will announce a new opening day "as soon as resort officials feel confident they can open with a high-quality snow surface."
“Snowmaking teams at both resorts have been hard at work getting ready for opening,” Breckenridge’s chief operating officer John Buhler said. “Cold temperatures allowed both resorts to make snow last night, and we will continue to take advantage of temperatures conducive to our snowmaking and get the resorts open as soon as we can.”
