The San Jose Earthquakes signed goalkeeper Jon Busch to a new contract Thursday. San Jose, CA (Sports Network) - The San Jose Earthquakes signed goalkeeper Jon Busch to a new contract Thursday.

Busch, 35, joined the Earthquakes in March of 2010 and has 14 shutouts - seven in each of his two seasons - for the squad. He started 33 of 34 regular-season matches last year.

He started his MLS career with the Columbus Crew in 2002 and remained with the club through 2006. He then played for the Chicago Fire from 2007-09, winning a MLS Goalkeeper of the Year award in 2007.

Capped one time for the U.S. national team, Busch has a 74-61-60 record and 60 shutouts in his MLS career.

Per league and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
