Thanks for stopping by my bio! I report from the field during the week and co-anchor 9NEWS weekend mornings. I am so fortunate to be learning from and working with some of the best journalists in the nation.
In June 2014, I traded in the Sonoran Desert for the Rocky Mountains after two years of reporting for KVOA in Tucson, Ariz.

Being so close to the border, "The Old Pueblo" is full of stories. Some of my most memorable stories include the death of Border Patrol Agent Nicholas Ivie, major immigration protests against Operation Streamline and the sentencing of Tucson shooter Jared Loughner.
My passion for storytelling began at a young age when I picked up a camera for the first time in Carlsbad High School's television news program. My skills evolved during my four years at Arizona State's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. It's there I learned that at the heart of every story is a human being, and I take my responsibility of telling their most personal stories very seriously.
During my time as a Sun Devil, (a very proud Sun Devil) I interned at several stations in the Phoenix market where I quickly learned newsroom operations and culture. I reported and anchored for the Cronkite School's award winning "Cronkite Newswatch" where I won several awards of my own.
Having spent six years in Arizona I have to say the desert is a beautiful place I grew to love. But, I'm glad I no longer have to endure the scorching summers! As a newbie to Colorado I'm looking forward to exploring every inch of the state.
When I'm not reporting I enjoy being active and soaking up the sun. I'm particularly excited about all of the hiking Colorado has to offer. I am also a foodie and a pretty talented home cook if I do say so myself! I grew up in Carlsbad, Calif. and try to get back to the beach as often as possible.
I have to say the Coloradans I've met already, both inside and outside of work, have been so kind and welcoming. I am looking forward to making this place my home, making more friends and getting to know what Colorado is all about.
