KUSA - The happiest day for any father is the day his son or daughter is born. That was true for Fox News anchor Bret Baier, but that joy was replaced with fear when doctors discovered some irregularities with his son's new heart.
Baier's son Paulie had a congenital heart defect and he was in a fight for his life.
Baier talks about the struggle in his new book "SPECIAL HEART: A Journey of Faith, Hope, Courage and Love."
Congenital heart defects are the number one birth defect in the U.S.
Bret Baier and his wife Amy talked about the book and their son's health problems on Friday during 9NEWS mornings.
