DENVER - Denver is funding an urban-arts program that is giving local artists a chance to shine and getting rid of graffiti at the same time.
The program is intended to give professional art to areas in the city with a history of vandalism.
Local artists apply for the job, and when they are chosen, they are given a space to work and some tools to work with. Organizers say they have a lot of creative freedom when it comes to the design and are excited that the project is becoming so big.
The urban-art program will finish 30 murals this summer alone and is becoming so popular the city even brought in some street artists from Brazil to create some paintings.
