KUSA – After getting called out by none other than the legendary Charles Barkley, six-time Olympic gold medalist Amy Van Dyken-Rouen took the Ice Bucket Challenge.

She challenged CSU head football coach Jim McElwain, Fox Sports ' Bill Reiter and former MLB pitcher Rob Dibble.

The Ice Bucket Challenge has raised $42 million and counting for the ALS Association. During the same time period last year, the nonprofit raised $2 million.

Celebrities from John Elway to Peyton Manning to President George W. Bush have taken part in the challenge, which has swept social media.

Van Dyken-Rouen was discharged from Craig Hospital last week – a little over two months after she suffered a spine injury in an ATV accident.

This week, she was seen taking her first steps since the accident with help from an exoskeleton called "Indego."
