KUSA – Wednesday marks National Hug a Cat Day, so if you're in need of a cat to hug, would you consider Colin?

The Adams County Animal Shelter stopped by 9NEWS Wednesday morning to introduce us to him.

Colin is a 4-year old long-haired, white and brown tabby.

He was found on the side of the road back in January. He suffered a torn lip, broken teeth and his back claws were pulled out. Colin was treated by a veterinarian, who later served as one of his foster parents.

Colin is recovered and now he's looking for a forever home.

His handlers say he loves to snuggle and get his chin scratched, but he's also very playful. He enjoys batting around toys and chasing them around the house.

Colin has lived with both cats and dogs, and gets along with everyone.

The cost to adopt Colin is $50. That includes his neuter, vaccinations and microchipping.

For information on how to adopt Colin, call the Adams County Animal Shelter at 303-288-3294 or visit their website at http://www.co.adams.co.us/index.aspx?nid=333.
