KUSA - Woof Fest is a free dog-friendly music festival from noon to 6 p.m. on Aug. 17 at Denver's Civic Center Park.
All leashed dogs and their owners are invited to enjoy music, food and Colorado beers.
Dog owners are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends for a day in the park where they can set out a blanket and enjoy local bands, brews, and food.
Woof Fest will feature diverse local music acts across two stages ranging from reggae to rock to classical-pop fusion.
Between the two stages will be a pup's paradise with pet-friendly activities and an off-leash play area and dog pools to keep our furry friends cool in the August heat.
Woof Fest general admission is free, and there will be local beer vendors, food trucks, and merchandise available for purchase.
Some of Denver's best food trucks (and trikes) will also be there. Look out for the Smart Cookie Dog Treat tricycle if you need a snack for your dog.
Festivalgoers looking for a more personal experience can purchase advance VIP tickets for $100 ($150 the day of the show). VIPs will have the opportunity to mingle with the bands and fellow pet lovers in private shaded areas near both stages as well as access to complimentary food and beverage, and Woof Fest! commemorative t-shirt.
Proceeds from the event benefit PetAid Colorado, the healthcare safety net for underprivileged and at-risk pets. PetAid Colorado provides services to thousands of pets every year through four programs: PetAid Animal Hospital, PetAid Care Grants, PetAid Disaster Services, and PetAid Home Outreach. PetAid Colorado is able to offer veterinary care during times of need and disaster because of donor support.
