I joined the 9NEWS weather team in the summer of 2006. I feel very privileged to work in a state with such fascinating weather and with such talented colleagues

I was born in Delaware and lived in New Jersey before moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan. Living just down the street from the University of Michigan turned me into a huge Wolverine fan. Go Blue!

I attended Central Michigan University atop the world's flattest mountain in Mount Pleasant, MI for my undergraduate degree in Meteorology. I then earned a Master's degree in Geosciences at Mississippi State University in absurdly humid Starkville, MS.

While in college, I worked at WLNS-TV in Lansing, MI before going to WCBI-TV in Columbus, MS. I then moved to Des Moines, IA where I was the Morning Meteorologist at WOI-TV for three years before coming to 9NEWS.

I'm proud to be an Eagle Scout and I continue to be involved with scouting through the Denver Area Council. I'm also a passionate runner, hiker, snowboarder, and of course storm chaser. I also enjoy playing tennis and volleyball but my game needs work for both.

I've earned the coveted Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation from the American Meteorological Society and I also hold the Television Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association.
