According to Kevin McDevitt, Denver Blue Bell's branch manager, Coloradans have embraced the company with more enthusiasm then even they expected.

"We expected there be kind of a nice warm reception, but we were overwhelmed by how we underestimated," McDevitt told 9NEWS. "We started here with 11 routes a year ago in March and we've essentially doubled our sales in a year. We are now at 25 routes covering the entire front of the Rockies. We're very fortunate to have the ability to do that. If it wasn't for the Coloradans telling their friends and their family and the connection they had with the brand I might be telling a different story."

The company has had to expand to keep up with Coloradan's demand, opening a 15,000 square-foot distribution center in Englewood and doubling its staff.

Now the company wants to celebrate its success by offering its customers a chance to get some free ice-cream.

The Blue Bell Ice Cream Trailer will be parking at several locations around the metro area through April 11. Employees will be offering anyone who wants to join in the celebration a chance to try some of Blue Bell's famous flavors for free.

The truck can be found at the Children's Museum of Denver Eggvenure event on Saturday, April 7 from 10 a.m.-5:00p.m., Sprouts Farmers Market located at 1150 S. Ironton St. Aurora from 11:00a.m-2:00p.m on April 9 and two locations, the Albertsons at 8434 S. Kipling in Littleton from 11:00a.m-1:00p.m and the King Soopers at 11747 W. Ken Caryl Ave in Littleton from 1:30p.m.-3:00p.m. on April 10, as well as the Sunflower Market at 2525 Arapahoe Ave in Boulder from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. and the Walgreens at 2870 28th Street in Boulder from 1:30p.m.-3:00p.m. on April 11.
