Culberson, 23, has split the 2012 season with Triple-A Fresno and in the Major Leagues with the Giants. Culberson made his Major League debut on 5/13 at ARI, and in six games with the Giants has hit .136 (3-for-22) with one RBI. In 90 games with Triple-A Fresno this season, he has batted .236 (83-for-351) with 14 doubles, 6 triples, 10 home runs, 53 RBI, 52 runs and 8 stolen bases. The Rome, GA native has at least 10 home runs in each of his last three Minor League seasons (36 HR since 2010) and had a career-high 34 doubles at Double-A in 2011. The right-handed hitter was rated the 11th-best prospect in the Giants organization prior to the 2012 season by Baseball America, and the 6th-best prospect in the organization by MLB.com. He was originally selected by San Francisco in the supplemental first round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft out of Calhoun (GA) High School.

Scutaro, 36, was in his first year with the Rockies after being acquired by the club on 1/12/12 from Boston. In 94 games this season with the Rockies, Scutaro is batting .271 (102-for-377) with 16 doubles, 3 triples, 4 home runs, 30 RBI and 47 runs scored. Scutaro is a veteran of 11 Major League seasons with the New York Mets (2002-03), Oakland (2004-07), Toronto (2008-09), Boston (2010-11) and Colorado (2012). The native Venezuelan is a career .270 (1120-for-4141) hitter with 229 doubles, 17 triples, 72 home runs, 434 RBI and 585 runs scored in 1,197 Major League games played.
