The bear has been a problem because several times it has broken into homes - even into one family's bedroom. The furry creature most recently broke into the Sherman family's mudroom by tearing off a window screen, breaking some glass and crawling inside. Jennifer Sherman says the bear must have a good memory of their house since it keeps breaking in.

The Colorado Department of Parks and Wildlife set up a trap outside the home and were able to capture the bear.

"I don't know," Sherman said. "We don't keep anything open. The dog food is locked up in the cabinet. He did get in there in June and got the dog food out, so maybe he just remembered that it was there."

The DPW will decide if they will put the bear down.
