Dionne Morris, a regional vice-president for Trader Joe's Co., testified in seeking approval of the license that the company plans to open the store in the third quarter of 2013.

The liquor premise will be separate from the grocery store - there will be no interior entrances connecting the liquor store and the grocery store.

However, the company said "one captain" will manage the grocery store and liquor store.

There will be 65 employees, all of whom will be cross-trained to work in all areas of both the grocery store and liquor store, and at various times from five to 20 employees will be working at the liquor store.
