In July of 2012 Todd Walker traded Southcentral Alaska's Chugach Mountains for Colorado's Rockies. Todd grew up as an Army brat, meaning he moved every few years. After living in Anchorage, AK for more than a decade, the itch to pack up and move was unbearable. That itch was scratched with the invitation and honor to come work for 9NEWS, widely regarded as one of the best stations in America.

Todd has had the good fortune (read: dumb luck) of being in the right place at the right time when some of the biggest stories in the country are breaking: He was the only one in the newsroom when a nearby Alaskan volcano started erupting, he was in Sarah Palin's hometown when she was announced as John McCain's running mate, and then was in her backyard when she announced she was resigning as Alaska's governor.

Todd's reporting has taken him around the world, including to the front lines of the War on Terror in Afghanistan. He couldn't be happier now to be at 9NEWS and work alongside some of the greatest storytellers in TV news.
