According to Adams County, deputies approached a green Chevy Blazer at 64th and Pecos Street just after 6 a.m. The vehicle was sitting in the middle of the road.
When the deputy tried to contact the driver, the driver fled the scene.
During the chase, police determined the Blazer was stolen on Jan. 1.
Police pursued the driver for more than 13 miles. They eventually used stop sticks to make the vehicle stop. Even after the vehicle drove over the stop sticks, the suspect drove around for a few minutes with flat tires.
Police arrested the driver, later identified as 31-year-old Francisco Franco. He is facing charges including felony eluding, habitual traffic offender and also has a few outstanding warrants.
No one was injured during the pursuit.
