KUSA - Denver is making a bid to host the Super Bowl. Its viability as a site was emphasized today.

While the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens play in NFL finale in the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, it is a beautiful day in the Mile High City. It was partly cloudy, and hit a high temperature of 55-degrees.

In other words, it was perfect football weather for the Super Bowl and surrounding events.

People, including Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, have been wary of hosting the Super Bowl in the cold and even possibly snow, allowing Mother Nature to factor into the outcome.

The 2014 Super Bowl, in the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, will be the first occasion it will hosted outdoors in a cold-weather city.
