FOUNTAIN, Colo. (AP) - Police say a body found in Fountain Creek last week was that of a 27-year-old man who had been sought by officers in December.

Police identified the body Monday as Nathaniel Ryan Vialpando of Fountain. An autopsy is pending. Officers say his body had no obvious signs of injury.

In December, officers responding to a report of a suspicious person at a truck stop tried to pull Vialpando over, but he drove away. His vehicle was later found to have crashed into a pole in a field. Police obtained a warrant to arrest him on suspicion of eluding. That warrant was still active when someone walking a dog found his body in Fountain Creek on Friday.
