CUPERTINO, Calif. - The Apple Company received their share of malware attacks Tuesday from hackers gaining access to their computers.

According to a statement released Tuesday, a "limited number" of Apple computers were infected by malware. The company isolated the the attacked computers from the rest of Apple's network.

The attack was spread through a website for software developers. Specifically, the malware attacked the JavaScript plug-in of the OS X-Mac browser.

Malware is short for "malicious software." It is used to interrupt computer operations, collect vulnerable information or invade private computer systems.

Currently, there is no evidence that any of the company's data has left the Apple network. Law enforcement is currently working with Apple to find the source of the malware attack.
