FRISCO, Colo. (AP) - A Summit County inmate who walked away from a work release program after calling the jail to say he would be late is back behind bars.
A warrant was issued for Ramon Soto after he apparently went to Denver without authorization during a scheduled work release Monday.
According to the Summit Daily, Soto called the staff at the Summit County Jail to let them know he would be late returning from his release because a friend's car broke down.
Soto was serving a one-year sentence for a DUI conviction out of Lake County. He now faces new charges of escape.
