KUSA - 9NEWS is gearing up for the 9Health Fair. Many people, including the staff at 9NEWS, will use the results of the blood screening as part of our wellness program.
Many Colorado businesses are using wellness programs for their employees.
"About 65 percent of Colorado businesses have a wellness program in place right now ... and people are enthusiastic about them," Donna Marshall with the Colorado Business Group on Health said.
Several newly-released studies are raising doubts that workplace-wellness programs are saving money.
"Good health is good for business and wellness programs promote good health. So, here and there, you might find a company that's not doing as well as the others. But studies show, on average, good health means that you have lower health-care costs, better productivity and less absenteeism and that wins for business," Marshall said.
