KUSA - Many of us know how to help a human in the event of an emergency, but what about man's best friend?

Jennifer Strickland with the Foothills Animal Shelter stopped by the 9NEWS studio Saturday morning with some first aid tips.

The lessons are available on Saturday, June 8 from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Foothills Animal Shelter on 580 McIntyre Street in Golden.

Charcoal, the CPR dog guest, is also up for adoption. He is a 4-year-old Chihuahua who is very active.
