KUSA - He's probably best known for WWE Raw and "The Real World: Back to New York," but wrestler Mike "The Miz" Mizanin is hoping to follow in the footsteps of wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and forge an acting career beyond the wrestling ring and confession room.

Mizanin stars in the straight-to-DVD movie "The Marine: Homefront," which was released on May 5.

Mizanin stars as Sargeant Jake Carter, a member of the Marine Corps' Special Operations Unit who returns to his small rural town after a dangerous mission in Central America.

Though he hopes his homecoming with signal more time with his sisters. Instead, Carter finds himself forced to use his military skills when his sister and boyfriend are kidnapped by a former college-professor-turned-extremist.

"The Marine: Homefront" is a sequel to "The Marine" and "The Marine 2," which starred wrestlers John Cena and Ted Dibase. The latest installation in 'The Marine' series also features Neal McDonough, Jared Keeso, Jeffrey Ballard and Ashley Bell.
