DENVER - Denver police say a man was killed in an officer-involved shooting Tuesday.
It happened in the 2600 block of South Federal Boulevard around 7 p.m. Police were called to the address for a suicidal party.
Police say at one point, the man was holding a gun to his head in the middle of Federal Boulevard. Some neighbors videotaped the confrontation as traffic in the area was diverted.
Police used non-lethal weapons, but they were unable to subdue the man.
Police say officers were forced to shoot him after he threatened a Denver firefighter. The man was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries, where he later died.
No officers were injured in the incident.
