AURORA - Ten-year-old Aurora resident Justin Miller has dealt with more in his decade on Earth than most people deal with in a lifetime.
He was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a cancer of the nervous system, when he was 3 years old.
Over the past seven years, he has relapsed six times and undergone rigorous treatment.
On Wednesday, the Aurora Police Department recognized Justin as an honorary police officer and awarded him the Medal of Honor. This marks the first time in APD history that a civilian was given this honor.
APD found out about Justin's condition through Cops Fighting Cancer, http://copsfightingcancer.org.
