KUSA - The demand for laptop computers continues to weaken, according to analysts at IHS iSupply.

If the numbers for the second half of 2013 are similar to the first half, 2013 will be the second year in a row in which PC shipments shrank.

According to a new study, there was a 6.9 percent drop in laptop shipments since the beginning of 2013. That's compared to a more than 40 percent increase in laptop shipments in the first half of 2010.

IHS iSupply credits the decrease of laptop sales with the increase in media tablets, including the iPad mini and the Chromebook, which are continually more popular.
