KUSA - It was a family tradition before she was even born and every year since birth, she has been present for the annual AIDS Walk Colorado.

Seventeen-year-old Dayna Menniger has raised over $55,000 in her 17 years of participating, and these days she doesn't walk the walk - she unicycles it.

This year her goal is $12,000 and she is taking donations below. Every nine-and-a-half minutes, someone in the United States is infected with HIV. Since the beginning of the epidemic, nearly 33 million people have died from AIDS-related causes; over 20,000 of those people were from Colorado.
