KUSA - Broncos fans, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock has heard you declare we are United In Orange!

"Over 4,500 of you have spoken, so beginning tomorrow night (Wednesday), we'll be lighting the City and County Building orange," says Mayor Hancock.

The City and County Building will be lit up orange by the programmable, permanent lights that are on the building Wednesday around 9 p.m.. 9NEWS will be live when the building goes orange!

Thousands are participating in the United In Orange campaign by signing a petition and using social media with the hashtag #UnitedInOrange to turn the state orange in support of the Denver Broncos before they take on the Baltimore Ravens for the Kickoff to the NFL season on Thursday.

On Tuesday Mayor Hancock proclaimed Thursday to be "United in Orange Thursday."

Several landmarks around the city will go orange on Thursday:

• D&F Tower
• Elitch Gardens Observation Tower and Big Wheel
• Hyatt Regency Hotel
• Four Seasons Spire
• 1600 Glenarm Building
• Lighting along 14th Street
• DIA Welcome Sign

Local businesses will also be United in Orange. Here is a list of what some will be doing:

• The Denver Pavilions will display a large Broncos Jersey
• Larimer Square will display Broncos Banners
• The Larimer Square website will go orange
• Broncos banners will be hung along the 16th Street Mall
• Local businesses will display window signs throughout downtown
• Digital signs at the Denver Pavilions, Colorado Convention Center, Denver Performing Arts Complex and 16th & Champa Streets will display "Go Broncos" messages
• DIA digital welcome signs will display "Go Broncos" messages
• The DIA train will play a special Broncos message from Mayor Hancock

While the petition has officially ended, our challenge to you to Orange Up continues! Get out your Broncos decorationsand put on your orange Broncos gear. Let them know that we ARE BroncosCountry!
