VAIL, Colo. (AP) - A 28-year-old Bond woman who acknowledged trying to beat her boyfriend to death with a table leg is scheduled to be sentenced March 6.
The Vail Daily reports Emily Anderson struck a deal and pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree attempted murder stemming from the April 27 fight with her boyfriend of three years.
Prosecutors say Anderson, who faces up to 12 years in prison, attacked her boyfriend with a blunt object at his home and fled. Friends of the victim found him lying in a pool of blood and called 911.
The victim, who was beaten unconscious, suffered a skull fracture, bleeding inside his skull, a broken left forearm and multiple cuts on his scalp and face.
Bond is about 25 miles northwest of Vail.
