USA TODAY - Week five of The Bachelor had Juan Pablo and the girls traveling to Vietnam. Upon their arrival, Renee got the first one-on-one date of the night, where she and Juan Pablo explored the area. She went home with a tailor-made Vietnamese dress and a rose keeping her in the competition.
The group date had the girls riding around in little boats, where Claire made all of the girls jealous by riding with Juan Pablo. Then the group helped till the soil at a local farmer's house. Afterward the girls all enjoyed a meal together that they "helped" prepare.
Nikki got the next one-on-one date where she overcame some kind of an anxiety/fear about rappelling down a cave. She got a rose and a kiss from JP that made it all better.
Later on in the episode, Claire and Juan Pablo had a strange encounter when Claire went to Juan Pablo's room and asked him to go swimming with her in the middle of the night. Something happened in the ocean that was never quite explained, but it left Juan Pablo feeling guilty about his daughter seeing the footage and Claire crying.
Things were very tense at the rose ceremony, especially after Juan Pablo told the girls that he had to send three of them home. Alli, Kelly and Danielle were the unlucky ones that went home without roses. Juan Pablo got teary saying bye to them.
