KUSA - Mike Bohn finished his introductory press conference as athletic director at the University of Cincinnati in typical - yet in an altogether different fashion - by saying 'Go Bearcats'.

The former University of Colorado athletic director spent eight prideful years in Boulder before being fired by the institution. During his tenure with the Buffs he was criticized for his success in the football programs and the hiring of several coaches but it was the lack of progress made in fundraising for improvements to athletic facilities that forced the administration to move in a different direction.

The Bearcats seek to join one of the five power conferences and they sought Bohn because he had significant experience with that while at Colorado.

"I feel I have a very good sense of what is going on across the country," the Boulder-native said last week. He played a major role in initiating the transition for the Buffs from the Big-12 Conference. "I lived it myself when I led the move to the Pac-12 Conference and I understand how important that is."

Bohn complimented Cincinnati on their unity and although he admitted he had yet to learn the fight song he's committed to helping move the Bearcats in the direction they want to go.
