BOULDER - The 10th anniversary Boulder International Film Festival kicks off Thursday, and it's going to be a party.
This year's lineup includes more than 50 films, some nominated for Oscars. Opening night features the comedy "Fading Gigolo", staring John Turturro, Woody Allen, and Sharon Stone. The festival closes Sunday with the acclaimed new documentary "Tim Vermeer."
In between will be all kinds of feature films, call to action movies and movies by Colorado film makers. Sunday night iconic actress Shirley MacLaine will be honored. And since this is the 10th anniversary, there will be all kinds of parties, fund raising events, food tastings, meet and greets, workshops and a global town hall.
The festival was started a decade ago by two sisters and film makers from Boulder, and has been getting bigger and bigger every year. For information, a schedule of films and ticket information, go to BIFF1.com.
