FORT COLLINS - A detective with Fort Collins Police Services was arrested Thursday morning for domestic violence and one count of harassment.
Jason Jungmeyer, 37, turned himself into the Larimer County jail Thursday following an investigation by the Larimer County Sheriff's Department and has been released on a $1,000 bond, according to a FCPS news release.
Jungmeyer was hired by FCPS as a police officer in 2002 and became a detective in 2012, according to spokeswoman Rita Davis. He has been placed on paid administrative leave and an internal affairs investigation is currently underway, the release said.
He is scheduled to appear in court on March 6 at 2:30 p.m.
