KUSA - Based on the best-selling novel and movie, 'About a Boy' makes its debut on NBC Tuesday night.

The show stars David Walton as Will Freeman, a single, unemployed and immature guy. He wrote a hit song and is living off royalties.

Fiona (Minnie Driver) moves in next door with her son Marcus (Benjamin Stockham).

Marcus and Will eventually develop a friendship and learn from each other.

About a Boy is the first comedy for writer and producer Jason Katims, who is known for 'Friday Night Lights' and 'Parenthood.'
