DENVER - The goal is to get uncomfortable, and they did in every possible way. They did to achieve something that had become unattainable for years.
John, Megan and Julie joined a group of one dozen people within the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center, taking on the Colorado Diet. The program is designed to help participants lose weight and change their lifestyles, which has become known as the "State of Slim." For 16 weeks, we have following their progress and providing updates.
For the first time ever, all 12 participants graduated from the program and found great success. In just four months, they have dramatically changed their eating habits, found time to exercise several times a week and managed to balance it all within their home and work lives.
Julie ranked number one in the entire group for weight loss and body fat loss. She says she never imagined herself enjoying exercise. Now, she is doing more activities with her kids and they have found a new appreciation for the foods she has incorporated into their family meals.
