LOVELAND, Colo. (AP) - Police say a Loveland man used a knife to fight off two intruders who shot at him and tried to rob him in his home.

Authorities say one suspect was hospitalized after the incident Tuesday. The other was also injured but was arrested.

Police say one suspect fired at the resident but missed. The resident then fought with the attackers, who fled.

Twenty-five-year-old Rodolfo Torres of Brighton was arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide, attempted aggravated robbery, burglary and menacing. No phone number could be found for him, and he wasn't in online jail records.

A police news release says a 21-year-old man from Brighton is being treated in an unidentified hospital. The release didn't identify him or say whether he would be arrested. Police didn't immediately return a call.
