DURANGO, Colo. (AP) - Police say seven teenage girls have run away from their homes in Durango this week in groups of three or fewer.

The Durango Herald reported Thursday that six are accounted for but one remained missing.

Police Lt. Ray Shupe says the girls are 15 to 17 years old. He says investigators don't believe any foul play was involved and no Amber alerts were issued.

Shupe says three girls who ran away together were found in Las Vegas. They were being held by authorities there until they could be returned to their parents.

Two girls were found in Aztec, N.M., about 30 miles south. Shupe says he believes their cases are connected.

Another girl returned home and one hadn't been located.

Durango, in southwestern Colorado, has about 17,000 residents.
