KUSA - Colorado center Maxime Talbot was back with the team Friday for the morning skate after missing Thursday for the birth of his son.

But the biggest surprise was his son's nickname: Spartacus. His son's name is Jaxson, but the Canadian-born skater said Jaxson doesn't have a traditional middle name.

"You can't believe everything you read. That's the beauty of the internet," Talbot said after Friday morning's skatearound at Pepsi Center. "In French-Canada, we don't have middle name. It's more of a nickname."

The new father, who is from LeMoyne, Quebec, will skate Friday night against Phoenix.

Talbot said everything went well with his fiance, Cindy, during the delivery. He said the couple spent a lot of time sleeping during the Olympic break with a newborn on the way.

He said they'll find what fits best for their son: "Jaxson, Jax, JT, Spartacus - any nickname, a lot of options. We'll see how he grows up to be."
