DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - If you've ever gone on a run, you know one of the best things is the meal at the end. Truly, nothing is more satisfying after pounding the pavement for miles on end than a cheese-filled omelet or a warm blueberry muffin.

The people who organized Brunch Running certainly figured that out when they launched their small Denver-based running business last summer.

"We've had a tremendous amount of interest; we were really surprised by it," said Alexandra Weissner, co-founder of Brunch Running.

The company launched a chapter in Phoenix in January; the Denver chapter closed in late September for the winter season. And this April, they will launch two new chapters in the Denver area, one in Boulder and one in Fort Collins.

Weissner said she and partner Courtney Logan got the idea to start the business after spending numerous Sundays getting together with friends to go for a run and then eat brunch at a local restaurant.
