DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - The competition between SpaceX and Colorado rocket giant United Launch Alliance over billions of dollars' worth of space launches is drawing politicians into the fight.
Colorado U.S. Reps. Mike Coffman andCory Gardner on Tuesday publicly called for NASA to make public any information about what they deemed has been "an epidemic of anomalies that have occurred during SpaceX launches or launch attempts."
The joint letter from the congressmen -- both Republicans and both facing tough election battles this fall -- cites news accounts of anomalies in launches by Spacex -- formally known as Space Exploration Technologies Corp. -- and delays of some launches.
