KUSA - The Colorado Rockies may be in a slump, but that's not a problem for any fan who loves to visit Coors Field, including out-of state baseball fans who make it a point to visit the ballpark.
Now, the people at Denver-based MapQuest have partnered with Major League Baseball for a new, interactive stadium guide for Coors, along with 29 other baseball stadiums.
These free, online guides are extensive, with five chapters of information with everything from what the purple line of seats around Coors Field represent to where to find gluten-free food, and most importantly, what to do before and after the game. The guides also offer budget and family tips for the best game day experiences.
MapQuest executives say while the Rockies have a big baseball community locally, they also have the largest out-of-state season-ticket holder roster out of all the major league teams. For that reason, they found it relevant for MapQuest users to create an online video that helps visiting fans not only find the best gems in the area, but also the best ways to navigate to them -- making the most of their time and money. "Key to the City" is hosted by Upright Citizens Brigade Comedian, Matt Fisher.
MapQuest has a very full pipeline. The company has launched seven partnerships, with tickets from SeatGeek, online ordering from GrubHub, appointment-booking from Booker and even flight information from the FAA.
