KUSA - One week after the 4/20 festivities in Denver, there's a company looking to cash in on all the marijuana-smoking visitors that come to tour Colorado.
AirTHC is a spin off of AirBNB (bed-and-breakfast). The concept allows you to rent out your home, a bedroom in your home or an entire property to visitors. AirTHC is specifically directed toward visitors that want to enjoy weed without any restrictions.
With this concept, AirTHC hopes to attract even more people to Denver to enjoy the fact that it's legal to smoke pot recreationally.
"We connect visitors with Colorado residents who have marijuana-friendly vacation rentals, ensuring that you'll have a private space of your own to smoke - legally - while you stay in Colorado," Co-founder of AirTHC Jordan Connor said.
Even though marijuana is legal in Denver, you can't smoke in public. If you're caught, you could face fines or possible jail time.
Connor hopes his company gives people an outlet to enjoy weed freely.
AirTHC plans to launch in May. At that time, anyone can rent a place. Right now, AirTHC want to get the word out to Colorado locals that this platform exists.
What's the benefit for homeowners?
Connor says homeowners will have the ability to make new friends, earn extra money and help people from around the country enjoy the movement that is taking place in Colorado.
Anyone can list a property with AirTHC - whether residents are current homeowners and only have an extra room in their house, or are going on vacation and want to put their house on the site for just a weekend.
