The Princeton Review Best Value Colleges are based on data gathered from institutional and student opinion surveys conducted from Fall 2011 through Fall 2012. The surveys were conducted at 650 colleges and universities Princeton Review considers the nation's academically best undergraduate institutions. The selection process considers data on more than 30 factors in academics, cost of attendance and financial aid.
USA TODAY has partnered with The Princeton Review since 2009 to exclusively publish the data online. The database contains detailed information about the each of the 150 schools along with The Princeton Review's take on each institution.
