LARIMER COUNTY – A 15-year-old girl was seriously injured after her brother discovered her pinned beneath an ATV Sunday morning.

The siblings were helping to build a fence on some private land near Crystal Mountain Road when the crash happened just before noon.

Her brother told the Sheriff's Office he asked his sister to get a drill, she took off on her ATV, and then he heard a scream and found her underneath the vehicle.

The ATV had apparently rolled over, pinning her beneath it. The girl's brother was able to get the ATV off of his sister and onto his vehicle to the nearest home, more than an hour away, for help.

The Sheriff's Office said the teen was unconscious and unresponsive when she was flown from the home in the 400 block of Granite Road to a nearby hospital.
