DENVER – Police are looking for a long-haired blond woman they say stole a wallet from a shopper at the Trader Joe's on Colorado Boulevard, and then went on a $35,000 shopping spree with the victim's American Express credit card.

The victim's wallet was stolen from her purse, which was in the victim's cart while she was shopping.

Surveillance photographs show a woman in the Hyde Park jewelers in the Cherry Creek Mall where she made several high dollar purchases.

Denver Police updated the amount charged on the stolen card to $35,000 Wednesday afternoon. The original Crime Alert reported $25,000 charged. Police also say the thief tried to charge another $7,000 but the charges were denied.
