DENVER- The Denver art community is rallying around the owners of a gallery that had its Comic Con proceeds stolen. Mindy Conley and her husband, Zac Skellington Conley, own the Hall of Justice Comic Art Gallery on South Santa Fe Drive.

After Denver Comic Con ended Sunday, they stopped by the gallery to unload their car. That's when they say someone took art and at least $1,000 in cash from their unlocked vehicle. They're now worried how they will pay rent next month.

"I just kind of want my stuff back so I can at least pay for my bills and things that I need. I don't really want to file charges on anybody," Mindy Conley said. "It was pretty devastating. You work pretty hard all weekend long."

The Conleys have filed a report with Denver police.

Well-known cartoonist Drew Litton, whose work you've seen on 9NEWS, is asking the community to consider buying work from Hall of Justice to keep them afloat.
