DENVER - Denver police are searching for three armed men who broke into a home while the residents were still inside.

Police say home invasions are rarely random. Police do not believe this robbery was random either.

At 6:50 a.m. on Monday, police responded to the 2700 block of Reading Court after a man and a woman said the masked, armed men came into the house and held them at gunpoint.

The victims were able to escape out a side window and run to a neighbor's house to call police. The man who escaped was injured. He has some minor bumps and bruises on the head. It's unknown how he got those injuries.

Neighbor Nancy Funayama says she's sensed something shady has been going on for a while at the house because of the people who come and go.

"It really worried me at first, because you'd see these beat up old cars come by. They don't belong in this neighborhood. Then real high priced cars too. I've seen Lamborghinis out here. I've seen Ferraris, anything you can name. [The cars] never stay long. [They] go in, get out," Funayama said.

Police thought the intruders may still be in the area when they arrived so they set up a perimeter and began searching the neighborhood located near Bible Park.

The three masked men fled with a television and an undisclosed amount of cash. Nobody reported seeing anyone flee the area, and since the men were masked there is not a physical description of the men.
