DENVER - What's a TV company to do when a competitor has the NFL Sunday Ticket carrying every pro football game, and there's little likelihood of getting that package for your own viewers?

Make a play for fans whose big day is Saturday.

Dish Network, as the only nationwide paid-TV distributor other than DirecTV, has positioned itself as the option for lovers of college football, especially across the Midwest and South.

"We're the only provider today that has SEC Network, and the Pac-12, and the Big Ten and the Texas Longhorn Network — all of the above," said Joe Clayton, CEO of Douglas County-based Dish Network. "Other providers have pieces, but not the whole enchilada."

The latest addition is the SEC Network, which launched today, in advance of the powerhouse conference's football season. The football heavy network is a joint venture of the Southeastern Conference and ESPN. It highlights football commentator and former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, and hundreds of SEC sporting events and round-the-clock programming.
