DENVER - Denver police are investigating two separate hit-and-run crashes.

The first crash on Alameda Avenue and Kalamath Street happened around 2:30 Saturday morning. A car and motorcycle were involved.The driver of the car took off, the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious bodily injuries.

Alameda Avenue was shut down in both directions at Platte River Drive and at the southbound off of Interstate 25 as police investigated.

The other hit-and-run happened at 33rd Avenue and Zuni Street also around 2 a.m.

Police say one person was transported to the hospital but are expected to survive. The driver who fled the scene was found a few hours later.
